The Last Beekeeper Review

The Last Beekeeper   This book review, is about a novel I read a week ago called ‘The Last Beekeeper’ by Siya Turabi. It is a historical fiction, which in some ways, involves magic. This book is about a boy named Hassan who lives in a village in Pakistan. One day, he and his father went to a forest to get a type of special honey called black honey, which is used for healing curable aliments. However, people are no longer allowed to go to the forest where the beehives are because of a new law. He and his father illegally went there, but his father fell off of the tree while trying to get the black honey and got hurt. The beekeeper, who had never been seen before, rescued Hassan’s father. However, guards looked for his father, who went missing. Hassan got a scholarship and went to a town called Karachi. He tries to go back to find his father and the beekeeper, but an unexpected enemy challenges him. I find this book interesting because it has a story to tell. It doesn't tire you or

The life of a kid

The life of a kid is great. It can be awesome and marvelous. But it has its ups and downs. It can be depressing and ravenous, For joy and for fairness. Staying a kid is probably every adult’s dream. Having fun and eyes having a wonderful gleam. The life of a kid is the greatest.

Why Me

Why Me I was just walking along the old stream behind my grandfather’s cottage. I saw a tree. Only it wasn’t a normal tree, but where he died. I was just a normal kid with a normal family and a normal life. All that changed when the new kid named Elijah came to school with parents and uncle. We were in sixth grade, and me and my friends were asked to befriend the new kid. He fit perfectly in my group of friends, and turns out, he was really good at chemistry, a subject in which most of us sucked at. One Saturday, we went exploring in the woods behind his house. His uncle came along with us for supervision, although we were old enough to look after ourselves. It seemed weird when he shot up saying “I’ll go with you”, when we were going outside.  After exploring the woods, it became dark, so we went our separate ways. The next day, when me and my friends went back to the woods without Elijah’s uncle, we spotted a bare spot o

White Night

White Night     It was a very dark and cold day on February 2018, when a big snowstorm hit Parsippany-Troy Hills in Morris County, New Jersey, which was where I lived.  The electricity had gone out because the power lines got knocked down and we were using all the flashlights and candles in our house. I was very scared, and it was almost time for dinner. My dad didn’t take the risk of going by car since it was under heavy snow, and the car would slip on the ice. So instead he walked to a nearby plaza. Lucky for us, there was a restaurant and a pharmacy that were still open. Just our luck, it was almost closing and they only had one dish left: vegetable biriyani. I can't tell you how much I hated it. My dad let me play video games on our tablet while I was eating so I can feel better. When I wasn't eating or playing video games, I helped my mom search for candles which had been put away for some time and also tried to take care of my little sister while she arranged th
